Hi Fred,
I don't use Windows version, but in DOS version your query would be done 
like this:
    Field
| "All" Grey |
|            |
The rule in DOS PDOX is to put double quotes "" around any character or 
word that is a PDOX reserved word or character, such as the query 
operators you mentioned above.  You do not put "" around the entire 
query - only the reserved word or character.
