You're the exception rather than the rule.  I have run both extensively on

same systems with no more problems in one than the other (just different
problems).  If you really had that much trouble, it would be worthwhile 1)
finding out what the real cause was or 2) replace the hardware.  The second

an expensive shotgun approach, I realize, but the usual problems with Win95

NT can be traced to faulty hardware.  Since each uses it differently
(different drivers, if nothing else), what works in one OS may not in
another...
