Boy, this is an OLD message!!!!
EG> Taking the last bit first: $20/month for us means
EG> $80/month and that is too expensive. BUT, what kind of
EG> arrangement do you have with your grup that waives
EG> monthly fees?
We have a government account. Government, you may ask? Well, out here, all
SAR is done through the sheriff. We had to get two government agencies to
vouch for us, and we got the account. However, FYI, I am no longer with this
group, but their account is still going... Also, since AT&T took over
CellularONE, look for some changes. I know our pager service (Interlink
Communications of Colorado -- now AT&T Wireless Services) has made many
changes...
If you need further, netmail me at 1:128/125...I don't read this echo (it's
on another BBS) very often (like once every month)...
EG> I spoke with Cellular One and was told that they HAD a
EG> special program, but it was cancelled and was not going
EG> to be restarted. I left msg for the President of
EG> Cellular One, but he did not return my call.
I think you are referring to their "Cellular for the Community" in which
they donate a phone and airtime to a specific community group for two
years...That's still going, last I heard, but it is two groups per year...
