Well...they didn't change anything -- all new addresses have HTML turned on by
default, and you have to know to go in and change it to the
"correct" setting.

And anytime you accept a new scheme (look, whatever) they can claim they
(re)created "new" email addresses and have them revert to
defaults. Sneaky and
borderline (un)ethical, but perfectly legit and a BIG p.i.t.a. for us old
fogeys who believe 7-bit ASCII is email and anything else is spam.

While you're mucking about in your account, check on the defaults for
marketing preferences and Web bugs: almost everything is "on" by
default and
needs to be turned off for security and lack of Yahooey "spam."

I didn't start calling it Yahooey for no reason.
