As I replied to another user with the same suggestion, that doesn't
quite work for me. Since this is the *second* suggestion on this
though, I may have to look at that again just in case I might have
overlooked something. What I want to do is have the column on the left
side of the page flow to the next page, rather than to the next column.
Same for the column on the right side of the page, if that makes sense.

Yes, WPWin 6.1 can also do that via the OPTIONS selection in the print
dialogue, but I want to do is set that so that is the default, rather
than having to select it each time.

Yes, and no! While I do indeed want to split the page, what I
need is essentially the ability to edit two documents side-by-side,
where formatting on one side doesn't affect the formatting on the other.
