It's a good program, that much I agree with (although it does complain to
much about using upper-case in messages, something I'll have to netmail Dan
about). It's a great progam and my users love it being there.
However, the stripping is not because of a problem with the program or with
it being advertised, I'd rather the note line remained intact, but it's
because Maximus strips the ASCII-01 char from the beginning of the line.

That's the problem, *everyone* see's it because the BBS software changes it.
Once I am well-versed enough in Squish/*.MSG areas to do so, I'll instead
write a program which scans the message bases the person wrote to, and add
the ASCII-01 back into the messages.
Actually, I might alter the program to add a note to the end of the message.
