Hi Vicki,
RH> or is there anything else that will do the same job, cheaper?
VO> I think it's the same as anything else that a person uses to clean
VO> monitors etc. It's for external use only as is the spray cans of air.
We usually just use a dust cloth on the monitor, have to check out this
new "toy" for Steve.
RH> Ouch! Hope you don't have to go too far for a new one. I could take
VO> Probably about 10 miles or so.
Well, that's not too bad. Around here, 10 miles is a drop in the
bucket. We go about 5 or 6, one way, just for church. That's getting
off post and going into the central part of town.
RH> my serger locally or go up to the Tucson House of fabrics since I got
RH> the HofF maintainence on it. It will go in, somewhere, after the
RH> wedding sewing is done.
VO> Good plan.
I just don't want to have to buy new machines yet. At the rate other
expenses are coming in, if I lost my machines, I'd be low on the totem
pole in priority. I'd have to borrow to get the dresses done & don't
want to do that; I know my machine's quirks.
RH> Well, I have to collect something that relates to sewing. I started
RH> out with just thimbles but have found other little treasures along the
VO> You've been fortunate to travel a lot to and get the different
VO> areas things as well.
If it weren't for the Army, I wouldn't have traveled as much. It's been
an interesting experience but the hard part is, you don't put down any
roots. We seldom see relatives; some of our friends made over the years
are as close, or closer, than family. When we're asked where we are
from, we can give a number of answers--last duty station, where we grew
up, where we went into the Army from, etc. But, overall I've enjoyed
it, especially the chances to travel and be in on history. (We were in
Berlin when the wall came down.)
RH> the time budgeted to hem 2 of the dresses the last week before the
RH> wedding.
VO> The wedding is much more important than anything else!
To hear Rachel, nothing takes priority over wedding stuff. I will have
2 dresses done by the week end, with a 3rd cut out.
VO> Exactly. I never have just one thing going.
I used to stitch no more than one thing at a time; that changed when I
became a Creative Circle dealer. Now I'm lucky to have only maybe 3
works in progress.
Catch you later,
Ruth
