G'day Cameron :)
FI> Just wanted to know if this echo was available in mailing list form?
CH> Not that I know of... But others will have something to say... :)

Ah okay I'll keep my eyes peeled :)
CH> The problem is head wear. I've seen now 3 machines that the hi-fi
CH> track has gone bad. Various service techs have told me that head wear
CH> affects the hi-fi tracks first, long before the picture or analouge
CH> gets hit. Have it professionally cleaned. That may help. Otherwise,
CH> a head replacement might be the only answer, sorry to say. With the
CH> price of 'em, sometimes it's better just to buy a new one. :-(
Ouch, with 4 heads it's for sure gonna be an expensive exercise. Funny thing
is that the hi-fi tracks seem stable when using it as a normal deck to
record tv shows or dubbing and so forth, but not when audio only is recorded.
Maybe I should do mastering with Simulcast enabled? :)
Oh and thanks for the welcome back :)
Cheers,
Frank
