subject: Re: [OS2HW] Writing to DVD

Same here. I seldom use xcopy any more, but just a week or so ago I
tried to xcopy one drive to another. Everything "just died" (froze)
after a few minutes, then after a few minutes more I got the "unable to
access source" message and a report that 3000+ files had been copied. I
was still able to do a DIR on the source drive, but when I tried on the
destination drive the whole machine locked solid and I had to reboot.

the 4OS2 enhanced COPY command is much more reliable, in my experience.
