I am running Word 7 under Windows 95 and have the following problem.
Before using an IBM compatible I used a Commodore 128 and did all my
wordprocessing on a program called Wordwriter.
I have managed to convert most of the documents to straight ASCII and
converted them to Word 7.
As it stands now there is just one document that I wish to continue
using. It is my video catalogue and my problem is using tabs.
I have a 13 page document set up as with the following columns:
Col 1 Col 2 Col 3 Col 4 Col 5 Col 6
^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^ ^^^^^
^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
"^" is where I have the tabs set which is fine for new information
added to the document. However, is there any way I can get Word7 to
recognize these tab settings in the document I have transferred from
from Wordwriter? The first 13 pages have no tab setting and I can't
figure out a way of inserting them into my previously typed text. Any
way of achieving my aim?
