Thats not likely on the specific date coz at the time
I did that test, Poe, the bulldog and Paul werent all
running the same version. All certainly were Austel tho.

Yep, fine by me. I was planning to call some in the US to test
that, but hadnt got around to working out some US phone numbers
for that. I'll call you to get a reliable comparison, ideally
call your mailer. Send us your phone number somehow etc.

Currently I cant even justify spending $300 on the cheapest possible
yum cha, the figures just dont add up even with my mail run times.
And back then I wouldnt have seen any real saving anyway with Pauls
Thunder nobbled back to V32bis so he got reliable incoming calls.

And particularly with modems which dont have DSP pumps,
it makes considerable sense to wait till the Rockwell
chipset is proven to be wart free.
