We're probably deviating from Supra discussion :( but let me just say.. that
in this house the extensions sort of evolved and "extended" from existing
stretches of the extension line. In otherwords, it's impractical to run a
separate extension line from one common point of the house out to the next
desired extension, now. But at CAN$50 a box, the switches that Bell sells,
can add up quickly if I desire to "isolate" every extension phone from an
accidental pickup and an undesired RING interruption. Yes... in this house
we have more than the average number of extension phones.
And.. to qualify this message for a "supra" blessing --- I am rather
disappointed that Supra decided to remove the phone-interruption protection
in the v34 external model that I enjoyed in my 14.4k v32bis external model.
The v32bis featured the ability to isolate the phone connected at its port
and keep it from interfering an existing data connection (and vice versa).
Why did Supra decide to remove this very practical and useful feature?
