Ha ... ask NZ or Germany about women in politics !

Both countries have nearly voted in would-be women Prime Ministers 
as a result of a dippy MMP voting system that tries to mix 
electorate and presidential voting systems together to produce a 
government that is never quite in full charge of much at all.

In the case of Germany,  MMP was designed after WW2 to make sure 
no future Fuhrer could subvert the country and threaten the world 
again...

And in the case of NZ,  it was imposed by subsuming sets of 
minorities breathing `NZ Green' on a complacent majority who are 
still befuddled enough 12 years later to happily pay more per 
litre of water than for they do now for a litre of petrol...

They say populations get the systems and governments they deserve,  
but no-one here can explain what awful crime sentenced NZ to its 
current 12-year spell of aimless drifting.

At the height of our election fever,  a disturbed pilot in a 
stolen plane threatened to take out our tallest building.

As our Air Force's moth balled jet fighters have just been sold 
off for peanuts by our `Minister for Disarmament',  it was left to 
our only Police chopper to plod around the night sky armed only 
with a search light,  solemnly assuring the invisible offender 
that he was under arrest and should not make things worse by 
actually flying into the tower....

Help !
