Who knows, people may have moved where they couldn't have pets.  Many more
reasons, none good, why people think it is okay to get a pet and abandon
them on a whim.  I'm glad you took him in.

There was a beautiful mostly white persian stray/abandoned kitty in my
neighborhood that several of us tried to take care of a while
back...disappeared a few months ago.  With foxes and bobcats and idiot
drivers about...well, I still hope someone took it in.

I have adopted another stray that I couldn't find a home for.  Showed up
scratching on our door, took a few months to warm the SO's heart to her but
now she sleeps inside.

Now about that o'possum that is making the rounds...
