JH> unfortunately, they left them behind, and dont want to it was just an idea. I thought a good play would be to use the 'can't afford the real net' and maybe insert 'if you wanna revisit' I think I might set up my old 486 as a single dialup node to just try it. just to see if I get any callers. it could happen but I agree with you. the days of old are probably long long long gone. thanks to this internet bull. I do have a theory though. I think as more and more policing goes on the internet. that BBSs might return. but not as they once were. someone will probably devolope a 32bit/64bit package that looks and acts similar to the net as we know it at the time. it probably won't be dialup or it might have a combo of dialup and broadband. it might be directly connected to the net or not. and people will hide in these 'underground' BBSs as a place to find their porn, warez, unedited chats. it could happen 5, 20 years from now. who knows. I think people are getting sick of all the days, viruss, malware in general and the policing. so what's everyones take on this? - Bryan Hamilton - Outpost BBS --- Telegard/2 v3.09.g2-sp4/mL* Origin: Outpost BBS - bbs.outpostbbs.net (1:18/200) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 18/200 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
