it was just an idea. I thought a good play would be to use the 'can't afford 
the real net' and maybe insert 'if you wanna revisit' I think I might set up 
my old 486 as a single dialup node to just try it. just to see if I get any 
callers. it could happen but I agree with you. the days of old are probably 
long long long gone. thanks to this internet bull.

I do have a theory though. I think as more and more policing goes on the 
internet. that BBSs might return. but not as they once were. someone will 
probably devolope a 32bit/64bit package that looks and acts similar to the net 
as we know it at the time. it probably won't be dialup or it might have a 
combo of dialup and broadband. it might be directly connected to the net or 
not. and people will hide in these 'underground' BBSs as a place to find their 
porn, warez, unedited chats. it could happen 5, 20 years from now. who knows.

I think people are getting sick of all the days, viruss, malware in general 
and the policing.

so what's everyones take on this?
