yes it does, but the people it's mailed to don't get infected by reading
that mail that the virus sent... they have to open the infected
attachment in word...
it's not spreading the infection autonomously through email, it's
distributing copies of itself to people in your email address book in
hopes that some of them might be stupid enough to open it in word
without any on access scanner running...
in essence it's no more of a threat than someone simply sending out
infected documents as email attachments... the only difference is that
there is a possibility that persons infected by this virus could act as
further distribution sites...
