And when you say trouble-free, PE> do you mean that from a BBS sysop point of view, who PE> gets a large number of different modems calling? BFN. The Lifestyle is one of the modems from the Motorola Informations Systems Group (ISG). The designer I have spoken to (Les Brown) is in Canada, their bbs is on the east coast of the USA, and homologation and manufacture takes place in Hong Kong and Singapore. Motorola ISG have an office in Sydney, and the modems are distributed by Telesys Communications. Occasionally Motorola people appear in comp.dcom.modems, but not in the MOTOROLA_MODEMS echo. However, everyone from the folk at Telesys to the Les Brown are accesible by internet email. I haven't run a heavy test of people dialing in to the Lifestyles, but they work well calling out to a large number of modems, including over conditions such as long access lines. --- msgedsq 2.1* Origin: Camelot Swamp MJCNA, Hawthorndene, Sth Australia (3:800/812) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 623/630 624/300 711/401 409 410 413 430 510 808 809 SEEN-BY: 711/899 932 934 712/515 713/888 714/906 800/1 2 409 414 415 422 427 SEEN-BY: 800/430 448 805 806 809 810 812 814 816 822 841 843 846 858 850/100 SEEN-BY: 7877/2809 @PATH: 800/812 1 711/808 809 934 |
