this is not hardware damage, it is software damage... the bootsector is
not hardware... if you were to boot from a floppy and replace the things
you deleted accidentally with that protection program the computer would
work fine again... you only think the computer has been damaged because
you don't know how to recover...
think of it this way... hardware is a physical object.. you cannot
delete a physical thing, therefore deletion cannot do anything to
hardware...
... the "any" key is that red button by the power switch...
