subject: Query Problem

In Paradox For Windows (4.5), queries are supposed to be very powerful.
So, I tried the following :
-------------------
Var="Cecilia"
q=Query
BASE.DB  ... | FieldX | ...
         ... |  Var   | ...
endQuery
------------------
being, as usual, very careful not to forget the two blank lines (BTW,
why is it so?). No problem, it works nicely.
Then, I tried with Var="All Grey" : all I got was a Query error !
So, if a chain contains a word which happens to be a so-called
Query Operator (ALL, FIND, SET, LIKE, NOT, OR, AS, etc), your
Query fails !
Is there a way to avoid this annoying problem ?
(Var1= "\"" + Var + "\"" will work, but you lose 2 chars in the field.)
Thanks for any hint.
