DH>> Ahah. Ok - that's a marginal bug. It should pick up any AT command and
DH>> shift, including the RING speed. (Agree - it doesn't.)

PE> Whew! You wouldn't believe how much argument I am having with
PE> Bill + David D on this one! And they keep accusing ME of not
PE> understanding!

RB> This any help??

No, I am using &B1, the default, and it works on the "OK" from
the "ATZ", it works completely with an ATS0=0, all undocumented.
BFN. Paul.

RB> &B1 Fixed rate. Default. The modem always communicates with
RB> the terminal or computer at the rate at which you have set
RB> the terminal or software, regardless of the connection
RB> rate.
RB> For the greatest throughput, set the serial port to 115.2K,
RB> 57.6K, 38.4K bps for high speed calls and to at least 9600
RB> bps for 2400-bps calls.

RB> This setting is not affected by the &N setting. However,
RB> the serial port rate must be equal to or higher than the
RB> &Nn
RB> rate.
