subject: Doors

Hi, Sean...

SD>I'm starting to design a BBS list door similar to Telegard's internal BBS li

SD>program, but with two major differences: my door will allow telnet addresses
SD>and it will also generate HTML BBS lists, to include on your website or
SD>what-have-you.

I miss the old USBBS door...the author quit updating the site 1 1/2
years ago. Dave Perussel of Diamond Mine Online BBS does the monthly
telnet BBS and quarterly dial-up BBS list. While Synchronet has a BBS
listing door, I think it's mainly for Synchronet systems.

SD>It's in the design stages right now. I'm finishing up the door right now an
SD>needing to fix a small buglet in the utility I'm working on to get it to wor
SD>under OS/2 right, then they're going to be released. I'm hoping before
SD>Thanksgiving...the door should be released next week sometime and the utilit
SD>right after that.

Will it run "in a DOS window" like the other BBS doors do under
Windows?

SD>There's a big change that I'm doing for my doors now: I'm writing the
SD>documentation in HTML. It makes it a little easier for me to make nicer
SD>documentation that pretty much anyone can view.

A lot of the newer programs have the docs in HTML...easier to jump to.

Daryl
