Don't say that.  You wouldn't believe how many callers I get (and how many
leave because I demand real personal information as I would of any guest in
my home!), still.  I do about zero advertising, save for in Fidonet (I
don't even advertise in my own network).  My BBS website gets a lot of
traffic though, mainly because all of the stuff I have in it.  Over 46,000
hits in a year and a half.

If you DO get the board up, go put yourself in two places: on darktech.org
(there is a link to "submit a link" on the main page; I maintain
that site) and on the Telnet BBS list maintained by Dave Perrussel
(1:275/89{at}Fidonet or http://www.dmine.com).  I get an amazing amount of
callers from that list and from an inaccurate listing at bbsmates.com too.


It's taken me nearly ten years to get the callers (nee notriety? :) that I
have today, but it's worth it.  I'm not planning on going anywhere soon
(although there is a software change and a reduction in the BBS's size
coming soon). I've done this for too long; it's become too easy to set up a
BBS and let 'er rip.

At least I have one very active caller that I know of...*wink-wink*
