What doy you want to do with the mouse ?

Direct manipulation is the only way :-( But this method is compatible
enougth. All 8250, 16450 and 16550 supports the same control lines, and
control protocol. You can only experience problems with inteligent
controllers, but... Have you see a mouse conected to an inteligent controller
some time ? :-)
TH> Anyone messed with manipulating control lines before?
I have programmed many RS232 routines, but long time ago, at this moment I
can't explain to you how to do it. You can use the source code that comes
with PowerBASIC 3.1 or 3.2 (I don't known) that provides functions to
manipulate serial lines.
TH> PS - how does a serial mouse get its power. My guess is the toggling
TH> state on the TD line. But that's just a *guess*.
:-) Do you want to detect a mouse attached ? :-))) Look mi next UUencoded
routine ;-)
