| subject: | Blakes 7 Books |
On Thursday January 27 1994, Alistair Wilson wrote to Audrey Falconer: AW> I have found, both in the local library and through Gaslight AW> Books here in Canberra, three Blakes 7 books, those being "Their AW> first adventure" (from Gaslight Books and available in the local AW> library, although it is under the tile of Blakes 7 and written, I AW> think, by Terry Nation), "Scorpio Attack" (covering the episodes AW> Rescue, Traitor and Stardrive, the other book covers The way AW> back, Space Fall, Cygnus Alpha and Time Squad) and of course AW> Avon, written by Paul Darrow. AW> Are these books any of those ones which you mentioned as have AW> being written by Trevor Hoyle ? or are they different ? Yes, both "Blake's 7" anf "Scorpio Attack" are written by Trevor Hoyle, based on Terry Nation's scripts. If you look carefully you should be able to find Hoyle's name on them somewhere! You are missing the other book Hoyle did - "Project Avalon", which covers Seek-locate-destroy, Duel, Project Avalon, Deliverance (with the main part cut) and Orac. AW> Sorry for such a long question, but I am just trying to find any AW> form of literature on Blakes 7. There is also a program guide written by Tony Attwood. I have a spare new copy which I can sell you, if you like, $10.95 plus postage. The other published book that I'm aware of is a book called "Afterlife", written by Tony Attwood. It is a story set after Gauda Prime. It is very rare and you are not very likely to find a copy of it anywhere, I'm afraid. The other thing I have available here is a collection of some text files and about half the scripts, as text files. If you are able to FREQ these are the files you are after: b7addres.zip 10786 19-01-94 23:33 Address lists b7credit.zip 7470 19-01-94 23:32 Full listing of credits, actors etc. blake7.zip 14401 22-10-91 11:57 Quotes file blakes7.zip 449930 2-01-94 23:31 The scripts blake_re.zip 51016 19-01-94 23:34 A lengthy article, a thesis? I also have a couple of gifs, one of Blake as seen in the illusion Avon sees on Terminal, another of Avon. They're both 320x200x256. avon.gif 51712 14-01-93 13:00 blake.gif 51712 14-01-93 13:00 If you don't have FREQ capability feel free to send me sufficient IBM format floppy disks and return postage and I'll post them to you. If you want the book as well I can put them all together. Actually, I've got plenty of floppy mailing boxes and plenty of spare 5.25" floppies, so all I need is your address. If you want to send me floppies my address is P.O. Box 523, Moonee Ponds, VIC, 3039. Audrey --- FMail 0.96g+* Origin: Logic is a way of going wrong with confidence!
