Hi Daryl,

With some luck I'll have my license next month. There's only one VE I know
of locally and one comes into town from Dallas (about 100 miles away) also
once a month to do testing. I've already contacted both to get more
information on when and where, and waiting to hear back.

As for teh QRZ CD, I'll definitely check that out! Thanks :) As you konw
I'm a Linux fanatic, and I hope to get some Ham apps running on my Linux
box once I get on the air. Also I'm working on a PHP-based Log program
that's command line and I'll have it tied to my BBS. What fun if it works,
I can telnet to my BBS from anywhere and update or view my logs! I'm even
working on a callsign lookup to integrate since I found where the FCC has
the database available for download.

So some fun stuff!

Thanks for the great info, and once I getm y license I hope to add MUCH
more Ham stuff to my BBS...

Sam
