You find war really terrifying because it involves more people, not because
it's more terrifying.

I don't buy into that. There is a difference between countries that are
identified and responsible, and masked terrorists. You mistake threatening
for terrorism, they are different. The sky can be threatening, but it's not
terrorism you experience when you see a funnel cloud even though you may be
terrified of it.
