I don't like it. I haven't really used VB6, but got VB.NET just so I would
know what's happening, and so far it seems like seventy-two layers of added
complexity over nothing. I need a dictionary of acronyms just to get
through the very first wizard, and it seems that for many things I need to
use the wizards, which I don't like - I'd much rather just write the code
first so that I can figure out how the damn thing works, and then later use
the wizards to save time.

My baggage is Delphi: all other environments I've tried just plain suck
compared to Delphi. Like the VS IDE, it doesn't even come close to the
Delphi IDE in usability IMO. Only problem with Delphi is that it's damn
expensive, and that not only sucks but also blows very hard in many
directions :-(
