The primary objection to government intervention in
education arises from the potential of government
requirements regarding content and the perspective of that
content. The easy way to avoid that is to limit government
requirements to structure - as in mandating 4 years English
and science, 3 years mathematics, etc - while leaving
content and perspective to the local PTA and the local
school board.
Any testing should be done by an independent 3rd party
- such as ACT, SAT, etc - and the test should simply rate
one's ranking in the general population.
With these restrictions, one can avoid the intrusion of
politically correct, central government dogma.
