Lucky you to have plenty of flying  space..I guess Jets take more room than 
copters...
     Around here in Ottawa ( the capital of Canada ) flying fields are 
rare.unless you arre lucky to find an unoccupied soccer or football field.  
The clubs around here are really expensive, expensive enough not to bother 
joining !!
    As for experienced pilots----> I taught myself to fly, It took quite a 
lot of reading and patience but right from the start i wanted to fly so my 
ambition helped me to progress faster than most "pilots"..only crashed once 
but it was a misscalculated turn into a light post..try to line up for 
landing..but that was over three years ago.  All my models are ready for 
flights within a couple of hours ( cleanup & checks )for all components..
        You're in the land of jets !! how facinating, do you pilot one and 
which type ( BVM, or others ? )
