Oh, I wouldn't cut into a battery I was planning to resell for any
reason whatsoever. I'd have to see the bars plainly in sight or
forget it.

It warmed up fairly good but not enough to do it any harm. I left it
on for about an hour or so. Did about as much good as that Indian
Rain dance you were talking about.
I've also been working with some gel cells and getting fair results
recharging those at pretty high voltages of 60 volts or so. It's
a lot harder to get much current through those than it is car batteries.
