Yes.
I've done quite a lot of VB6 coding and have installed VS.net and played
with it a bit, including VB.net.
There are countless complexities to VB.net - great stuff, but if someone
wanted to write a simple "run on my computer" app, I would
recommend VB6. The jargon associated with VB.net is pretty overwhelming,
and the .net framework is a bit of a killer when you want to run an app on
another computer without a BIG setup program. VB.net is really C with
"if ... then ... end if" instead of "if (...) {...}".
BTW the .net framework stuff is a great concept and will probably be
everywhere, one day.
