Good idea, and I suppose I should get him to give my US domestic V.34
Sportie a call as well, just in case the problem is specific to Austel
models only.  It's certainly strange that he's been the only one to report
this behaviour so far, although by the same token, V.32bis Supras of the
vintage he uses are likely to be pretty thin on the ground anyway.
