Check the community colleges too. Too bad Sacramento is 2 hours away
the ranch where I board is scheduled to offer a 9 week college course
for about $40 which includes the use of the camp horses. It starts at 9
in the morning and gets out somewhere around 1 pm. I took Beginning
English Horsemanship over and over (it supposedly not repeatable) till I
got caught then I took Intermediate till after we got our first
horse when I first went back to riding and really learned a lot. Not only
did I ride but I learned how to clean stalls, tack up, groom, feed, ect.
If one of your local community colleges has this course you should
consider it. I had a lot of fun too.
