| subject: | Re: Mini Barktofest! |
From: janel It was fun putting faces to the names and postings that I've read for so long. Maybe one of these days we can do that all-Carolina Barktofest in Columbia and get Mark, Bob and Dale Ross to come, too. Doesn't look like JohnO is ever coming down here again for the races, so we'll just have to proceed without him. Richard gave us a tour of their office in Greenville - very nice and compact. The tour of his server room/wiring closet didn't take long! And he *is* sitting on a paint can! No sheep in site, but there were kittens. I carried my umbrella along to ward off the pending rain, and it seemed to work. It was just beginning to sprinkle as we broke up and Mike and I headed for our cars. Speaking of where people are these days, as we went through the list of who's missing these days, the name Mark Brown was invoked. I don't remember if it was Mike or Richard who mentioned it, but we all laughed and then shuddered. I don't think we scared Tim off - he was well able to hold his own and presented his ideas and questions in a thoughtful manner. He has an interesting point of view on the state of the world. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
