Been there done that. But let's see your class C so your
probably still telnet. That's another draw back about
telnet is tracing. I mean a simple caller ID to "mommy"
or daddy over th eyears has done wonders for me :) All
users tend to have things you can trace like patterns.
If he creates new accounts just look at the pattern. He'll
likely do the same thing (files, then quit) and you can
ban them.
There are sophisticated net tracers out there which could
trace the person to some city. Then you can use resources
to track him and call him personally. That'll scare him.
I've even done scams before when they just create new
accounts and you know its him. When i knew the guy
was just under another alias I would trick him. Say
they could get special access to certain privledged areas.
But in order to do so they'll need to make a phone call
or give them their # (if caller id blocked) or send
a copy of their license. They tended to fall for it.
Then give them access to some dummy section and you
use the information as needed. Theres various ways
to do it. Does he act like a kid or adult? Kids are
far easier to scare if you can contact the parents.
Watching the BBS documentary and theres a story on there
similiiar to the classic calling the parents.
... A feature is a bug with seniority.
