That would work too seeing as the password is encrypted.  Depending on the
shell mbse uses for users quite a bit of useful information can be
extracted from reserved shell variables.

Shouldn't in any unix enviroment.  That type of file is only needed in
single user OS's where the BBS has to compensate for the lack of multiuser
information.

Ah!  Yeah I still have some stuff for him but haven't been able to send it
his way yet.  Nothing too excighting though.  I'll have to send some mail
