Thanks for the info Martin.  We have tried filters and rewiring the radio's 
power leads many times and had limited results.  I think I'll try the coax 
cable as a power lead.  It would be nice for once to talk to somebody on the 
radio and not have they come back saying, "Hey, I can hear your alternator 
each time you key up!"  Thanks for the tip.  I'll let you know how it works.
