Fan fiction is original fiction, set in the Blake's 7 universe, and
employing the same characters. There is apparently a range of different
types of story - continuations of the series, expansions of episode
stories, and "what-if" stories, which postulate, for instance,
that the Liberator never turned up so they all ended up on Cygnus Alpha, or
that Tarrant got the personality tubes in "Ultraworld" the wrong
way around.

Apparently though, the main emphasis of a lot of it is porn (which they
call "slash") - Avon and Cally, Avon and Servalan, Avon and Blake
(!), Blake and Jenna, Tarrant and Servalan, Dayna and Tarrant, Dayna and
Avon... it's endless, and grows more and more idiotic, even though they
start from the episodes. "Sarcophagus" is a pretty good basis for
postulating a relationship between Avon and Cally, for instance.

I read one comment that Paul Darrow knows about this fiction and dislikes
it intensely.

The two best-known examples of fan fiction I guess are, firstly, Paul
Darrow's novel about Avon, and the novel set after Gauda Prime,
"Afterlife", by Tony Attwood, which claims to be authentic, and
gives credit to Chris Boucher.
