Hi Leon,

I can't tell from your posting from an NT-box what version of eCS you're
talking about, but I have always used just NetBIOS (& TCP/IP) until eCS
1.2, and if you have 1.2 or 1.2MR, there is a GUI setting to
enable/disable NETBIOS and or TCPBEUI, which checks that the respective
initialization files are in sync - have you tried that?

When you say DIR doesn't do you mean e.g. whilst logged-in that "DIR
\\ \ \ /a/s"
doesn't work because
it can't find either the machinename or the sharename or the directoryname?

Did you put a leading double-quote ["] ahead of to cover
the case of any spaces in the shared directory name [trailing " not
required at CLI]?

Regards,

Mike
