Tee hee, I always have to giggle when I see statements like that. I don't
think there's ever been a time in the history of mankind when you couldn't
have said "new rules for getting on in the world" and "being
nice won't work anymore". I think Grugg the caveman said that about to
his neighbour Grogg the caveman, and then went on and clubbed someone to
death. I'm pretty sure they used those exact words during the crusades, and
in the world wars, and so on and so on.
IMO, now if ever being nice finally may actually "cut it", it
just takes a brave leader with great vision to try it.
