Consider the physical length of Telstra cabling between us, the number of
connectors, amplifiers, echo cancellers, signal processors, and exchanges
etc., and your guess is as good as mine.  Suffice to say that although I
always get 28800/28800 to Dave, my polls to Paul are invariably
28800/26400, so something is definitely not quite 100%.
