No, but obviously you got taken in by the TV coverage. That stuff was
blatant anti-Saddam propaganda in that the Kurds had brought that mess upon
themselves by revolting against the Iraqi government in an effort to
establish an independent Kurdistan. Bush I encouraged them to revolt,
although they hardly needed a push. They have attempted such revolts
numerous times, including when the Brits were running the place and used
poison gas in putting down the revolt that time.

True, after encouraging them to revolt he then backed off, realizing he had made
a dumb mistake (surprise!) after he got nothing but condemnation from Turkey and
our Arab allies, none of whom could stomach giving away a part of the Arab world
to the historically despised Kurds or giving encouragement to the
rebellious Kurds in Southeastern Turkey.

Not surprisingly either, Bush II is now faced with the same problem with
the Kurds. As a result of Bush II giving them so much autonomy, the Kurds
are now rebelling against the idea of again becoming an integral part of
Iraq. They insist on a constitutional guarantee of a great degree of
autonomy, which the idiot Shiites refuse to agree to.

Whether Bush I or Bush II, both are certifiable nitwits. And nitwit Jeb is
no better. They should have confined themselves to business and left
politics to those intelligent enough to handle it.
