That she is hated by the far-right hardly makes her that. What makes the idea stated in the reference, most likely total bullshit in any case, so dumb is that both Kerry and Clinton are seen as Northern liberals. Having her as a running mate would break one of the basic rules, a balanced ticket. Whoever Kerry chooses, most likely it will be a Southerner popularly recognized as a moderate Democrat leaning to the center-right. That he might choose Clinton is about as dumb as the recent idea that he might choose McCain.
