You are reading far too much into that article. She is a young, not long out of law school professor of law. Respected of course. Why would anyone not respect a young law professor? A heavy hitter? On what possible basis can that statement be made? Needless to say there is no diplomatic coup involved. That idea is preposterous. Nor is it true that Iraq under Saddam had the most liberal attitude towards women of all Muslim states. That statement should read "of all Arab states." The only thing of interest in that article is the mention of Qaddafi walking out of the Tunis meeting of the Arab League. Although it is true that some of the biggest hitters among Arab rulers didn't bother to attend, Qaddafi was right in lambasting those that did for not addressing that fact that two Arab leaders, Arafat and Saddam, are under illegal detention. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
