->      It seems that as soon as one formats text in Word 7, this PRG

This is true the formatting is dependant on the driver you have selected.
A way around it is to install the same drivers on both computers.  Even 
hough
you don't have the printer attached to it.  That way when you move the file 
o
the other one it will at least print out the way it is supposed to.
