DENVER (Reuters) - Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, who dodged one
date with death after FBI officials admitted they failed to turn over
evidence at his trial, may learn on Wednesday if he can win a second stay
of execution from a federal judge.

McVeigh, 33, who is scheduled to die on Monday for planting the bomb that
killed 168 people at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in 1995, wants
his execution stayed a second time so that his lawyers can thoroughly
investigate some 4,000 pages of evidence withheld by the government.

[...] Prosecutors wrote in their opposition papers that most of
the 4,000 pages of evidence were immaterial to McVeigh's conviction and
death sentence and argued that he deserves to die for his crimes,
regardless of the FBI's mistakes.
