SD>no time to do anything with it. You should check out Daryl Stout's (N5VLZ)
SD>board - he's got some great stuff on it. It's at telnet://tbolt.synchro.net
SD>if it's currently up (he takes it down for storms and such).

Thank you for the shameless plug.

Seriously, I've heard folks who had their computers still plugged in,
when a close lightning strike occurred...the system practically melted
in front of them!! There was also a note in a recent issue of QST (a ham
radio publication for the non-hams)...one ham had intricately grounded
all his computer, ham gear, and other electronic stuff...or so he
thought. A strike virtually right outside his house nearly wiped all he
had.

SD>I don't use a QWK reader; I use TimEd, which is a sysop editor. I directly
SD>manipulate my Squish message base with this program. I do too many things
SD>that are outside of QWK's capabilities so I use this.

I'm still using the old Offline Express program in a DOS Window under
Windows XP...in fact, that's what I'm using to do this message.

Daryl, N5VLZ
