| subject: | USR Courier V34 problems |
BG> As it happens, I can sort-of see his point, but this relates more to BG> USR's apparent failure to adequately document the necessity of using BG> &W under the aforementioned circumstances. All they say is that it BG> must be done, no reason given (or none that I can find, at least). DD> Why is it thet the rest of the courier owners DD> found no problems with this characteristic? Just the usual thing thats seen so often in computing, you only see a problem with the USR modems when you change the port speed after using a &W command *AND* you have a modem init string of JUST ATZ. By definition thats not likely to be that common. BUT it ONLY a USR modem which will fang your bum in that situation. FOR NO GOOD REASON. @EOT: ---* Origin: afswlw rjfilepwq (3:711/934.2) SEEN-BY: 711/809 934 |
