No presidential candidate is his right mind is going to allow himself to be upstaged by a running mate and that is precisely what would happen if she were on the ticket. That she might attract the women's vote is possible, but that would be outweighed by the male votes Kerry would lose if she were the running mate. This country doesn't begin to be ready for a woman vice president a heartbeat away from the presidency. This isn't the UK or Europe. In some respects, this country is far too conservative, far too Neanderthal in its beliefs, to accept a woman president. It is not just the far-right that would be foaming at the mouth either. The whole of the South might want to secede again. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
