PT>Hi.
PT>I'm running Word 6.0 and I'm having a little problem. If I make a field
PT>with "filename" it doesn't get updated when I make a "saveas".
PT>The filename stays as DOKUMENT1.DOC eventhougt the filename is changed
PT>to PETER.DOC.
PT>I assume that it is a little problem, but I haven't been able to find a
PT>solution in the manual.
PT>Can anyone help me?
There are several ways around this problem:
1> Save you document as soon as you start it, that way the correct file
name is put into the field (A good practice anyway)
2> Press F9 (Update field) Then save the change.
3> Select "Update fields" before printing:
a) Tools
b) Options
c) Print tab
d) Tick "Update fields"
As soon as you do a print you will see the field updated on
the screen (but not saved).
Hope one of these solves your problem
